Warranty Terms & Conditions
Applies to all Kuvr custom covers, screens and tarpaulins. These terms should be read alongside our website Terms of Service.
Every Kuvr cover is made to your measurements and built to last. Our warranty backs that up. It covers the things we're responsible for — the fabric, the seams and the way the cover is made — for the full warranty period that comes with your chosen fabric.
This page explains exactly what the warranty covers, what it doesn't, how long it lasts, and how to make a claim if something isn't right.
What the warranty covers
Your Kuvr warranty covers three things for the full length of the warranty period:
- Fabric degradation — the fabric breaking down before it should under normal outdoor use.
- Seam failure — seams coming apart or letting water through the stitch lines.
- Manufacturing defects — faults in how the cover was cut, welded, stitched or finished.
This coverage is included with every cover we make, at no extra cost.
How long your warranty lasts
The warranty period depends on the fabric you chose. Standard coverage is included as standard. KuvrPlus is our optional care plan that extends it.
| Fabric | Standard warranty | With KuvrPlus |
|---|---|---|
| NylonSafe® (shaped covers) | 3 years | 5 years |
| PVCArmour® (shaped covers, coloured screens and tarpaulins) | 5 years | 10 years |
| Flexi 30 (clear screens) | 6 months | 1 year |
| Ultra 50 (clear screens) | 12 months | 2 years |
NylonSafe® is our premium waterproof fabric for residential and light-commercial use. PVCArmour® is our heavy-duty waterproof fabric for high-exposure and commercial use. Both use HydroLok® seam sealing — seams are stitched and then sealed internally so water can't get in through the stitch lines. Flexi 30 and Ultra 50 are our clear PVC fabrics for screens.
Your warranty starts on the date your cover is delivered.
What the warranty does not cover
The warranty covers faults in the fabric, seams and manufacturing. It does not cover damage caused by how a cover is used, stored or affected by events outside normal weather exposure. Specifically, it does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear consistent with outdoor use, including gradual fading in line with the fabric's stated UV and fade rating.
- Damage from misuse or accident — including tears, punctures, scuffs and abrasion caused by contact with sharp or rough objects.
- Damage from failure to follow care instructions — such as improper cleaning, or storing the cover while wet or dirty.
- Extreme events beyond normal weather — including storm or hurricane-force winds, flooding, fire, falling branches or debris, and vandalism.
- Cosmetic marks — dirt, staining, watermarks, surface mildew, and minor colour variation between production batches.
- Modifications or repairs carried out by anyone other than Kuvr.
- Damage during self-fitting or removal, and damage caused by fixings or fittings not supplied by Kuvr.
- Loss or theft.
Fit is covered separately. If your cover doesn't fit, that isn't a warranty matter — it's covered by our First-Time Fit Guarantee, which means we remake it free. The warranty covers how the cover performs over time; the guarantee covers whether it fits in the first place.
How to make a claim
If you think your cover has a fault covered by this warranty, here's what to do:
- Contact our team through our contact form with your order number and a short description of the problem.
- Send photos of the fault. Clear pictures usually let us assess a claim quickly, without you needing to send the cover back.
- We'll assess it and, where needed, may ask you to return the cover so we can inspect it.
- We put it right (see below).
Please raise a claim as soon as you reasonably can after you notice the fault, while the cover is still within its warranty period. We won't hold you to a rigid deadline — but the sooner you tell us, the sooner we can put it right.
What happens if your claim is valid
If your claim is covered by the warranty, we will repair or replace the cover, at our discretion. Where we replace a cover, the replacement is made to the same specification as your original. A repair or replacement carries the remainder of your original warranty period — it does not start a new one.
Returns, cancellations and change of mind
This warranty covers faults. Returns, cancellations and change-of-mind requests work differently — especially for custom-made covers, which are built to your approved measurements and specifications. How those are handled is set out in our Returns & Refunds policy.
KuvrPlus extended coverage
KuvrPlus is our optional care plan. It extends your standard warranty period for the fabric you've chosen — for example, from 3 years to 5 on NylonSafe®, or 5 years to 10 on PVCArmour®. It doesn't change what's covered or how your cover is made; it simply covers you for longer. You can add it when you configure your cover, or within 30 days of your purchase. Full details are on our KuvrPlus page.
Your legal rights
This warranty is provided by Kuvr — Janus Ridgeway Ltd (trading as Kuvr.co) for UK orders, and Kuvr LLC for US orders. It is offered in addition to your rights under consumer law and does not affect them.
Warranty FAQ
How long is my cover under warranty?
It depends on the fabric: NylonSafe® is 3 years (5 with KuvrPlus), PVCArmour® is 5 years (10 with KuvrPlus), Flexi 30 is 6 months (1 year with KuvrPlus), and Ultra 50 is 12 months (2 years with KuvrPlus). The period starts on the day your cover is delivered.
Is my cover covered for water getting through?
Yes. Every Kuvr cover is fully waterproof, and the warranty covers seam failure — including water getting through the stitch lines. It does not cover condensation, which is managed by the cover's air vents rather than the fabric.
Does the warranty cover fading?
It covers fabric degradation, but not gradual fading consistent with the fabric's stated UV and fade rating. Fading beyond what is normal for the fabric would be covered.
Does it cover accidental or storm damage?
No. The warranty covers faults in the fabric, seams and manufacturing — not accidental damage, misuse, or extreme events such as storm-force winds, flooding or falling debris.
How do I make a warranty claim?
Contact us through our contact form with your order number and photos of the fault. If it is our responsibility, we will repair or replace the cover.
What if my cover doesn't fit?
That is covered separately by our First-Time Fit Guarantee, not the warranty — if it doesn't fit, we remake it free.
