First-Time Fit Guarantee
When you order a custom-made cover from Kuvr®, it should fit correctly the first time.
That expectation isn’t based on hope, It’s built into how we design, review, and manufacture every custom product. Read more about the design process.
This page explains what the First-Time Fit Guarantee covers, how it works, and what happens if something isn’t right.
What the First-Time Fit Guarantee Means
If your custom cover does not fit as specified due to an error on our part, we will put it right.
That may mean:
- an alteration
- a partial remake
- or a full remake
The solution depends on the nature and scale of the issue, but the responsibility is ours.
Why the Guarantee Exists
Custom products fail when assumptions replace clarity.
That’s why our process is deliberately structured to prevent fit issues before anything is made. Before manufacture, we:
- provide clear measurement guidance
- review customer-supplied dimensions
- request photos where helpful
- create scaled design diagrams
- manufacture only after approval
We don’t expect customers to navigate the process alone.
The First-Time Fit Guarantee exists because this process works. When it doesn’t, we take responsibility.
What’s Covered by the Guarantee
The First-Time Fit Guarantee applies to all custom products.
It applies when a cover does not fit correctly due to our error, including:
- incorrect dimensions used despite correct approved diagrams
- misinterpretation of measurements or photos
- incorrect patterning or shaping
- manufacturing errors affecting fit
- failure to follow the agreed design
In these cases, we will assess the issue and determine the most appropriate solution: alteration, partial remake, or full remake.
What the Guarantee Does Not Cover
The guarantee does not apply where the cover has been manufactured exactly to the approved specifications but does not fit because:
- incorrect measurements were supplied and approved
- diagrams were approved without correction
- changes were requested after approval
- assumptions were made instead of clarifying before approval
Diagram approval confirms that the design matches the item as described at the time of approval.
Reporting a Fit Issue
To ensure issues can be assessed accurately and resolved quickly:
- fit issues must be reported within 7 days of delivery
- the cover should not be modified before contacting us
- photos showing the issue should be provided where possible
This allows us to determine whether the issue is due to design, manufacture, or specification.
How Fit Issues Are Resolved
There is no one-size-fits-all response.
Depending on the circumstances, we may:
- amend the existing cover
- remake part of the cover
- remake the cover in full
Minor issues may be resolved with alterations. Larger issues may justify a full remake. The decision is based on practicality, effectiveness, and fairness.
Why Diagram Approval Matters
Design diagrams exist to protect both sides.
They confirm:
- overall dimensions
- height, depth, and shape
- allowances for cushions, angles, or protrusions
Approval confirms that what we’re about to make matches what you need. If something looks unclear or incorrect, that’s the moment to flag it. There's no limit on the number of design revisions. We'll go back and forth until you're satisfied.
Our Approach
The First-Time Fit Guarantee exists because we expect covers to fit correctly the first time.
It’s there as a safeguard, not because we expect problems.
If something isn’t right, we’ll review it properly and deal with it fairly, without blame or unnecessary friction. We’re reasonable people and we want customers to be satisfied with what they receive.
