How do I measure for a Custom Outdoor Egg Chair Cover (Hanging)?

This guide explains how to measure your hanging outdoor egg chair for a custom-fitted Kuvr® Egg Chair Cover, including each required measurement, where to take it, and how to record it accurately. There are 4 measurements to take, labelled A to D.

The measurements

A — Total width

The overall width of the chair pod at its widest, measured straight across the front.

B — Total depth

The overall depth of the chair pod, as shown by arrow B.

C — Total height

The vertical height of the chair pod, from its lowest point to its top (excluding the stand).

D — Front opening width

The width across the front opening of the pod, where you get in and out.

Frequently asked questions

Which outdoor chair guide should I use?

Pick the guide that matches your chair — bar chair, office chair, recliner, rocking chair, sofa chair, stool, egg chair or a stack of chairs — then match the detail where the guide offers a choice, such as with arms or armless. Choose the closest shape.

Do I measure with the cushions in place?

Yes. Measure the chair exactly as it will sit when covered, with any seat or back cushions in their normal positions.

I have a set of matching chairs — do I measure each one?

If the chairs are identical, one set of measurements covers them all — just measure one. If they differ, measure each chair separately.

Can I measure in inches?

Yes. Measure in centimetres, inches, or metres — you choose your preferred unit when you configure the cover. Keep the same unit throughout.
