How do I measure for a Custom Pizza Oven Cover (Brick Base)?
This guide explains how to measure your brick-base pizza oven for a custom-fitted Kuvr® Pizza Oven Cover, including each required measurement, where to take it, and how to record it accurately. There are 13 measurements to take, labelled A to M.
Important
Provide exact measurements with no extra allowance added. Kuvr® adds a standard tolerance of +25 mm (1 in) to the width and depth for a comfortable fit; no allowance is added to the height. You can measure in centimetres, inches, or metres — you choose your preferred unit when you configure the cover.
Please include photos
Photos of your brick-base pizza oven, taken from a few angles alongside your measurements, help us understand the exact shape — especially the chimney and how it sits — and get your cover right from the outset. Including a tape measure in shot for scale is ideal.
The measurements
A — Total width
The overall width of the whole unit at its widest, from one outer edge of the base to the other.
B — Total depth
The overall front-to-back depth of the whole unit at its deepest.
C — Total height
The vertical height from the floor to the highest point (the top of the chimney).
D — Distance from front of base to front of oven
The horizontal setback from the front edge of the base to the front of the oven, as shown by arrow D.
E — Width of oven
The width across the oven dome itself, as shown by arrow E.
F — Depth of oven
The front-to-back depth of the oven dome itself, as shown by arrow F.
G — Distance from right of base to right of oven
The horizontal gap from the right edge of the base to the right side of the oven, as shown by arrow G.
H — Height of chimney above dome
The vertical height of the chimney measured from the top of the dome up to the top of the chimney, as shown by arrow H.
I — Height of oven
The vertical height of the oven dome alone, as shown by arrow I.
J — Height of base
The vertical height of the base/plinth the oven sits on, from the floor to the top of the base, as shown by arrow J.
K — Distance from chimney to rear edge
Looking from above, the distance from the centre of the chimney back to the rear edge, as shown by arrow K.

Frequently asked questions
Which pizza oven guide should I use?
Use Brick Base if the oven sits on a fixed masonry/brick base; Countertop (Gas Fired) or Countertop (Wood Fired) for a standalone benchtop oven; and With Stand if the oven is on its own legged stand. Pick the one that matches your setup.
Why are there chimney measurements?
Several measurements locate the chimney — its cap diameter and its distance from the front, rear and side edges — so the cover is shaped to clear the chimney neatly. Take these carefully; they make the difference between a snug fit and a baggy one.
Do I measure with the door and handle in place?
Yes. Measure the oven exactly as it will sit when covered, with the door, handle and any chimney cap in their normal positions.
Can I measure in inches?
Yes. Measure in centimetres, inches, or metres — you choose your preferred unit when you configure the cover. Keep the same unit throughout.
