How do I measure for a Custom Oval Dining Set Cover?

This guide explains how to measure your oval dining set for a custom-fitted Kuvr® Outdoor Table Cover, including each required measurement, where to take it, and how to record it accurately. There are 6 measurements to take, labelled A to F.

The measurements

A — Total width

The overall width of the whole set along its longest axis — table plus the end chairs — at the widest points.

B — Total depth

The overall front-to-back depth of the set across the table and the side chairs.

C — Total height

The vertical height from the floor to the highest point, usually the top of the chair backs.

D — Width across chair backrests

The distance across the backrests of the chairs along one side, as shown by arrow D.

E — Width of table

The width of the oval tabletop alone (its shorter dimension), without the chairs.

F — Width of chair backrest

The width across the back of one chair at its widest.

Frequently asked questions

Do I measure with the chairs in place?

Yes. Measure the set with the chairs tucked under the table as you’ll leave it covered. The total width and depth span the table and the chairs at their widest points.

Should I use a table guide or a set guide?

Use a set guide if you want the table and its chairs covered together; use a table-only guide if you just want the tabletop covered. Pick the shape that matches your table.

Measure to the closest points shown and send a couple of photos alongside your figures; we’ll confirm the exact fit from those.

Can I measure in inches?

Yes. Measure in centimetres, inches, or metres — you choose your preferred unit when you configure the cover. Keep the same unit throughout.
