How do I measure for a Custom Hexagon Table Cover?

This guide explains how to measure your hexagon table for a custom-fitted Kuvr® Outdoor Table Cover, including each required measurement, where to take it, and how to record it accurately. There are 6 measurements to take, labelled A to F.

Important

Provide exact measurements with no extra allowance added. Kuvr® adds a standard tolerance of +25 mm (1 in) to the width and depth for a comfortable fit; no allowance is added to the height. You can measure in centimetres, inches, or metres — you choose your preferred unit when you configure the cover.

Please include photos

Photos of your hexagon table, taken from a few angles alongside your measurements, help us understand the exact shape and get your cover right from the outset. Including a tape measure in shot for scale is ideal.

The measurements

A — Total width (point to point)

The overall width of the hexagonal top measured straight across from one outer point (corner) to the opposite outer point, as shown by arrow A.

B — Total depth

The full front-to-back depth of the hexagonal top at its widest, as shown by arrow B.

C — Total height

The vertical height from the floor to the top of the table surface.

D — Length of one side

The length of a single straight edge of the hexagon, as shown by arrow D.

E — Diagonal, corner to opposite corner

The straight-line distance across the top from one corner to the corner directly opposite, as shown by arrow E.

F — Total width (flat edge to flat edge)

The width across the hexagonal top measured from one flat edge to the opposite flat edge (the across-flats dimension), as shown by arrow F.

Frequently asked questions

Do I include the tabletop overhang?

Yes. Measure to the outer edge of the tabletop — including any overhang or glass insert that projects beyond the frame or legs — so the cover clears the widest point.

Should I use a table guide or a set guide?

Use a set guide if you want the table and its chairs covered together; use a table-only guide if you just want the tabletop covered. Pick the shape that matches your table.

My furniture isn't quite the shape shown — what should I do?

Measure to the closest points shown and send a couple of photos alongside your figures; we’ll confirm the exact fit from those.

Can I measure in inches?

Yes. Measure in centimetres, inches, or metres — you choose your preferred unit when you configure the cover. Keep the same unit throughout.
