How to hang a clear tarpaulin: accessories that help

Okay, so we had a question come in asking how do you hang one of these clear tarpaulins. I'm going to show you a few different options. As it just happens, we're doing some work outside at the moment, so we have a gazebo up which we can use to test and hang one of these on.

So we've got here several options. We've got blue bungee cords here, which go through the eyelets. We've also got standard-size market-stall clips, and also a mini clip as well. And we also have clip cover protectors, which go on the ends of these jaws, which I'll just show you quickly. So there you go, that is what the jaw protectors look like, and they basically just offer a little bit of protection when the clamp is going onto the cover itself.

So I'm going to quickly fit one of these covers onto the end of this gazebo. We've got a 10 by 6 here. This is the 0.3mm 320gsm Flexi 30 clear material, so this is the thinner of the two materials that we stock. So if you give me a couple of minutes, I'm just going to get this on and cut to the other camera.

Okay, so there you go, we've got the clear cover fitted down one side of this gazebo, and we've used four loop bungee cords on the sides here, as I explained earlier, and another one down at the bottom here. I've also tried a different method using the clips in the corners up here, and we used one of the smaller clips I showed you in the middle, and another clip here. You can see we've used more bungee cords down here, and again at the bottom as well. But equally, I mean, we could have used bungee cords on the top — it was just, I thought I may as well show you all the options basically.

I'm just going to try and actually fit a bungee cord to show you, well, we've got the camera here. So it just goes through the eyelet like that, and then — very difficult to do while holding the camera as well — but there you go, you can see you've got a bungee cord there, and it just wraps around the head of the bungee. So there you go, that is pretty much it. And this is the 320gsm, 0.3mm clear material, also known as the Flexi 30, and that is it fitted to the end of a gazebo that we are currently using while we're working outside.
