How do I measure for a Custom Round Daybed Cover (with Canopy)?

This guide explains how to measure your round daybed with canopy for a custom-fitted Kuvr® Outdoor Daybed Cover, including each required measurement, where to take it, and how to record it accurately. There are 6 measurements to take, labelled A to F.

Important

Provide exact measurements with no extra allowance added. Kuvr® adds a standard tolerance of +25 mm (1 in) to the width and depth for a comfortable fit; no allowance is added to the height. You can measure in centimetres, inches, or metres — you choose your preferred unit when you configure the cover.

Please include photos

Photos of your round daybed with canopy, taken from a few angles alongside your measurements, help us understand the exact shape and get your cover right from the outset. Including a tape measure in shot for scale is ideal.

The measurements

A — Total width

Total width is the overall width of the daybed, measured straight across the widest point from side to side.

B — Total depth

Total depth is the overall front-to-back measurement of the base, taken across the widest point (the diameter).

C — Total height

Total height is the vertical distance from the floor to the highest point of the canopy. Measure straight up with the canopy in its normal raised position.

D — Height to top of mattress

This is the vertical height from the base of the daybed to the top of the mattress or seat cushion.

E — Depth to top of cover

This is the horizontal distance from the front edge of the daybed back to the top (apex) of the canopy, viewed from the side.

F — Depth to rear of cover

This is the horizontal distance from the apex of the canopy back to the rear edge of the cover, viewed from the side.

Frequently asked questions

Should I measure with the cushions and mattress in place?

Measure the daybed as it will sit under the cover, with the mattress in place. Remove loose scatter cushions before measuring, or note them, so the cover is cut to the daybed's true profile.

What if my daybed is not a standard shape?

Measure the closest shape shown here — standard, square, round, or round with canopy — and send photos. We confirm the exact pattern from your measurements and images before cutting.

Should I measure the daybed or my old cover?

Measure the daybed itself, with any existing cover removed. Measuring over an old cover adds thickness and gives an oversized result.
