How do I measure for a Custom Round Daybed Cover?

This guide explains how to measure your round daybed for a custom-fitted Kuvr® Outdoor Daybed Cover, including each required measurement, where to take it, and how to record it accurately. There are 5 measurements to take, labelled A to E.

Important

Provide exact measurements with no extra allowance added. Kuvr® adds a standard tolerance of +25 mm (1 in) to the width and depth for a comfortable fit; no allowance is added to the height. You can measure in centimetres, inches, or metres — you choose your preferred unit when you configure the cover.

Please include photos

Photos of your round daybed, taken from a few angles alongside your measurements, help us understand the exact shape and get your cover right from the outset. Including a tape measure in shot for scale is ideal.

The measurements

A — Total width

Total width is the overall width of the daybed, measured straight across the widest point from side to side, viewed from above.

B — Total depth

Total depth is the overall front-to-back measurement of the round base, taken across the widest point (the diameter) from above.

C — Total height

Total height is the vertical distance from the floor to the highest point of the daybed, usually the top of the curved backrest.

D — Height from base to top of mattress

This is the vertical height from the base of the daybed to the top of the mattress or seat cushion. Measure straight up with the mattress as it normally sits.

E — Depth from arm rest to rear

This is the horizontal depth of the curved back section, measured from the front of the arm rest straight back to the rear of the daybed, viewed from above.

Frequently asked questions

Should I measure with the cushions and mattress in place?

Measure the daybed as it will sit under the cover, with the mattress in place. Remove loose scatter cushions before measuring, or note them, so the cover is cut to the daybed's true profile.

What if my daybed is not a standard shape?

Measure the closest shape shown here — standard, square, round, or round with canopy — and send photos. We confirm the exact pattern from your measurements and images before cutting.

Should I measure the daybed or my old cover?

Measure the daybed itself, with any existing cover removed. Measuring over an old cover adds thickness and gives an oversized result.
