How do I measure for a Custom Grill Cover?
This guide explains how to measure your grill for a custom-fitted Kuvr® Grill Cover, including each required measurement, where to take it, and how to record it accurately. There are 9 measurements to take, labelled A to I.
Important
Provide exact measurements with no extra allowance added. Kuvr® adds a standard tolerance of +25 mm (1 in) to the width and depth for a comfortable fit; no allowance is added to the height. You can measure in centimetres, inches, or metres — you choose your preferred unit when you configure the cover.

Photos of your grill, taken from a few angles alongside your measurements, help us understand the exact shape and get your cover right from the outset. Including a tape measure in shot for scale is ideal.
The measurements
A — Total width
This is the total width of the grill. Measure straight across from side to side, at the widest part.
B — Total depth
This is the total depth of the grill. Measure from front to back.
C — Total height
This is the vertical height from the floor to the highest point. Measure vertically from the floor, keeping the tape straight and plumb.
D — Height from wing top to grill cover top
This is the height from the top of the wing shelf to the top of the grill cover. Measure vertically from the floor, keeping the tape straight and plumb.
E — Depth of grill top
This is the depth of the grill lid/top section. Measure from front to back.
F — Width of left wing
This is the width of the left-hand side shelf. Measure straight across from side to side, at the widest part.
G — Width of grill cover
This is the width of the central grill cover section. Measure straight across from side to side, at the widest part.
H — Width of right wing
This is the width of the right-hand side shelf. Measure straight across from side to side, at the widest part.
I — Height to wing top
This is the vertical height from the floor to the top of the side wing shelf. Measure vertically from the floor, keeping the tape straight and plumb.
Frequently asked questions
Should I measure with the grill lid open or closed?
Measure with the lid closed, to the highest point of the closed lid. This is the height the cover needs to clear.
Do I include the side shelves or wings?
Yes. Include the side shelves at their widest point. If they fold down, measure both with them up and note that they fold.
Should I measure the grill or my current cover?
Measure the grill itself with any existing cover removed. Measuring over an old cover gives an oversized result.
