How do I measure for a Custom Outdoor Kitchen Cover (L-Shape, Sink + Grill)?

This guide explains how to measure your L-shaped outdoor kitchen with a sink and grill for a custom-fitted Kuvr® Outdoor Kitchen Cover, including each required measurement, where to take it, and how to record it accurately. There are 20 measurements to take, labelled A to T.

Important

Provide exact measurements with no extra allowance added. Kuvr® adds a standard tolerance of +25 mm (1 in) to the width and depth for a comfortable fit; no allowance is added to the height. You can measure in centimetres, inches, or metres — you choose your preferred unit when you configure the cover.

Please include photos

Photos of your L-shaped outdoor kitchen with a sink and grill, taken from a few angles alongside your measurements, help us understand the exact shape and get your cover right from the outset. Including a tape measure in shot for scale is ideal.

Frequently asked questions

How do I handle taps, grills or parts that stick out?

Measure to the outermost point of any fixed feature, such as a tap spout, grill lid or handle, so the finished cover clears it. Note anything removable in your order.

Should I measure with the grill lid open or closed?

Measure with the lid closed, to the highest fixed point, unless you specifically want the cover to fit over the lid raised.

Do you cover both built-in and freestanding outdoor kitchens?

Yes. The cover is cut to the dimensions you supply, so it fits built-in islands and freestanding units alike.
